  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 cups jasmine rice


  1. Cook jasmine rice according to package instructions.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef and garlic together. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and chili flakes. Cook for 2-3 minutes until well combined.
  4. Add Thai basil leaves and cook until wilted.
  5. Serve the beef over a bed of jasmine rice.
